“Queen of Books” Awele Ilusanmi Schools Participants at the April LRF Book Reading

Distinguished author, Awele Ilusanmi delivered a memorable reading of her book Profitable Pages at the Literary Renaissance Foundation‘s (LRF) Monthly book reading event on Sunday 6 April 2025. The inspiring work reflects among other themes, Ilusanmi’s own passionate mission to help independent writers take charge of their publishing journey.

Awele Ilusanmi is a multi-award-winning author celebrated for her invaluable support and contribution to Nigeria’s literary landscape.  For her impact, she was honoured with the African Writer’s Tribe Transformation Leadership Award, the Trinity Writer and Publisher’s  Network Award for her reference to education, and the Nigerian Humanitarian Award for her contribution to child literacy and youth development. She is the president of the Literary Authors Co-operative Multiple Society In Nigeria.

Her work, Profitable Pages, is a safe help that focuses on how writers can sell their books by themselves and make maximum profit. Ilusanmi wrote the book out of her passion for book marketing and promotion as well as a long-standing mission to inspire authors to hold their books and see possibilities.

The LRF audience described the book as insightful and inspirational, and it sparked many questions and positive comments. Some participants noted that their perspective on book publishing had been changed completely. Babatunde Oladele, in particular, remarked that the book reading was in fact a seminar for both aspiring and publishing authors. Halima Musa supported the comment by dubbing Mrs Awele Ilusanmi “Queen of Books”.

Ilusanmi concluded by encouraging authors to support one another.
