LRF Gets New Management Board, Holds First Meeting of 2025
On July 28, 2025, the Literary Renaissance Foundation (LRF) held its first management board meeting of the year. The meeting focused on the foundation’s mission and goals, with members highlighting the importance of working together to create a better future. The LRF Executive Director, Babs Oladele, emphasized the need to lead with compassion, while Tejumade Oke pointed to the urgency of addressing social issues.
Some board members including Mary Ogundipe, Mrs Tejumade Oke, Dr Samson Abiodun, and Mrs Olabisi Olasupo introduced themselves and shared their interests and concerns, such as improving access to education and encouraging digital literacy, especially in northern Nigeria.
To improve how LRF operates, Mr. Oladele proposed a new structure with four directorates: strategy, promotions, outreach, and compliance. These teams would help streamline efforts and improve planning and communication. Directors are expected to meet quarterly to review progress and coordinate on future activities.
The new management board members are:
- Director for Strategy: Mr Seun Olaniyi
- Director for Promotions: Dr Samson Abiodun
- Director for Compliance: Mrs Tejumade Oke
- Director for Outreach: Mrs Olabisi Olasupo

There was a strong focus on digital literacy and youth involvement, with members suggesting ways to involve undergraduates in outreach. The team also discussed how decentralizing outreach across different regions, and building media support, could help raise awareness and encourage participation in programs.
A follow-up meeting is planned for July, where each directorate will present its ideas and budgets for the months ahead. Members expressed their commitment to LRF’s mission and looked forward to working together on its next steps.
