The Best Time to Read a Book
Contrary to the popular generic notion of the early hours of the day being the best time to read a book, it has been discovered that reading time has a lot to do with personal choices and discretion. So, if you are a busy person and you are wondering where you would find the time to read? Here are some ideas that have been proven to work over time:
After a Tiring Day:
After a long tiring day at work or school, it is necessary to get the mind and body refreshed, and one great way to do that is by reading. You may not have to read an entire book, but reading a chapter or two depending on the length can go a long way.
While on Transit:
When travelling, rather than allow your mind to wander, you can pick up a nice book to read. This is not just a great opportunity to pass time, it also keeps you mentally engaged and active.
Before Bedtime:
Before you retire to sleep, you might want to consider picking up a book to read. Night time offers great reading moment as the environment is more serene than it was during the day. More so, the body is more relaxed and not tensed during bedtime like it was during the day when there were so many things to worry about. This makes it a good time to read.
If you are also finding it difficult to sleep, then reading a book is therapeutic for sleep, especially when accompanied by soft music.
Now:
Away from the points given above, if you have been looking for the best time to read a book, then NOW is the best time. There is no perfect time other than now to feed your brain. This is why the Literary Renaissance Foundation has taken it upon themselves to ignite the reading culture in Nigeria.
